The “TRUMP”ed up American Christian

Posted on

Why are we letting our feelings about the newly elected President Donald Trump dictate how we behave as Christians?  Does the bible call for us to respond with anger, hatred, slander, protests, frustration, violence, vandalism, or disrespect towards our earthly authorities?

Once again, we allow the enemy to defeat us as we behave more like non-Christians and less like Christians who are empowered to bring about true spiritual change.  We not only forget about our call to spiritual warfare, but also completely disregard the Word of God, leaving our most vital weapon un-utilized.  Instead we waste our time, efforts, resources, and energy, deceiving ourselves into thinking we are actually helping to bring about change, when the true root of all the “issues” in the world today is our spiritual enemy.

Why don’t Christians utilize the Bible today?!?!

Posted on Updated on

I just can’t seem to wrap my head around the fact that we live in a world today where the Bible is depicted as being outdated, fictional, irrelevant, and not valuable.  And the sad part is, that those of us who profess to be Christians are adapting that line of thinking and most without even realizing it.

We waver in our core belief of the fact that the Bible is the very Word of God and are instead adopting the nonSatan-Christian view that it’s a book of fiction written by mere men.  And because we don’t fully trust in it, we stop reading it which leads to lack of knowledge.  Hosea 4:6 clearly says that “my people are destroyed from lack of knowledge”.  Looking at the world around us, it is evident as Christians compromise their beliefs, standards, morals, faith, and lifestyles.

There is a common saying these days: “it’s not that serious”.  But I’m here to tell you, this is VERY SERIOUS!  Any Christian who willingly lacks knowledge of Scripture/deliberately chooses not to read/learn it, is set on a path of destruction – destruction of mind, which ultimately leads to destruction of body.

Little do we realize, that Satan preys on this “lack of knowledge” more than anything else.

I Peter 5:8 – Be careful—watch out for attacks from Satan, your great enemy. He prowls around like a hungry, roaring lion, looking for some victim to tear apart.” (TLB)
