Welcome to “Deme In the Mirror!”
Ever get sick and tired of being sick and tired….about life and all the craziness that’s going on in the world around us? Wondering why things are the way they are and what you can do to change it?
NEWSFLASH: The quickest way to make changes in the world, is to start by working on yourself. If you want to be a better you, or a better version of yourself for God and truly make a difference in the world around you, then its time to start looking at yourself and life more clearly through the mirror of God’s Word!
What if you could significantly change and improve your life, simply by spending more time reading the Word of God? What would it be worth to you?
No more focusing on everyone else’s standards and guidelines for Christianity. Let’s get back to the basics! The heart and foundation of our beliefs that goes neglected by more and more Christians every day – the Bible! Lets look into the real mirror of God’s Word and learn how to live a life of obedience, purpose and success that pleases Him rather than people.
I’ll be writing about real life (with all its ups, downs, personal struggles, obstacles, mistakes and hindrances that come up along the way), all while looking at what the bible has to say. After all, God’s Word is supposed to be our final authority on EVERYTHING – relationships, professions, money, attitudes, politics…..life!
If you’re looking for a simple, no-cost solution to help improve your life in general, then join me. Prayerfully we can be motivated and encouraged together, to not only embrace His Word but to utilize it the way God intended and enjoy better lives in the process!
More About Deme:
I was born and raised in Richmond, VA. I graduated with a B.S. in Biblical Studies from Philadelphia Biblical University (now Cairn University) in 2001. I have a passion for teaching, training, and coaching in general. I have worked with all age groups via teaching women’s bible studies, organizing and running youth bible camps, teaching Sunday school, hosting financial seminars for churches and serving in various other administrative duties over the past 20 years.
In 2014 God gave me a vision in the form of a concept: “In the Mirror” of God’s Word. It is with that vision in mind that I created this blog geared towards encouraging and motivating people not only to read the Bible, but to learn it, study it, teach it, and most importantly live and love it in such a way that it draws them deeper into a closer relationship with God, and enhances their lives tremendously in the process.
Apart from ministry, my professional background includes over 15 years of experience in sales, customer service, insurance and financial services.
Outside of work and ministry, I’m a proud single mother of an incredible son. I enjoy working out, reading, writing, binge watching on Netflix, red wine, listening to music (of all genres), playing pool, trying out new restaurants, getting a massage, bubble baths, and traveling.
